ONGC Videsh In Talks To Acquire Oil Equity In Sudan

Having set in the Nile Ganga project which has brought in India’s first oil equity, the company is in talks with the Sudanese government for oil equity in four to five exploratory blocks.
 

ONGC hits paydirt in Sudan
4th August 2003, Business Standard, New Delhi ONGC has been offered “on exclusive basis” a contract for a 700-km pipeline and a refinery revamp and upgradation project in Sudan.
 
“The government of Sudan has invited us to lay a petroleum product pipeline from Khantum refinery to Port of Sudan. The project is estimated to cost $200-300 million,” Atul Chandra, managing director of ONGC Videsh Ltd, the overseas arm of ONGC, said at a press conference here today.
